The Chronicle of The General Chapter of 25th day of August.

At the Eucharistic celebration, we remembered the anniversary of the Claretian Missionary Sisters. We met at the Chapter hall at the usual hour: 9:15 am . Fr. Paul Smyth was the moderator. The minutes were read and approved and the names of those who have sent in messages were not read because there were many messages. It was announced that the messages would be pasted on the notice board in the chapter hall. It was decided that the election of the consultors be held on Thursday. The examination of the second part of the working document continued in the different groups.

During the second plenary session of the morning, the secretaries shared the conclusions of their groups and the document was analyzed paragraph by paragraph. At the evening's plenary session, the moderator explained what was to be done: the task consisted in identifying the congregational priorities, the great challenges that were detected when the first part, the situations of the world, the church and the congregation were examined. The work is to examine this chapter and prioritize the challenges in order to identify the most urgent ones. After the period of rest, the document was studied individually and afterwards there was group work. The secretaries would meet to put together the priorities that would be presented in the chapter hall. Then the material would be studied by geographical zones. During vespers, the Claretian Missionary Sisters were again remembered and we prayed for the success of their mission in Nigeria . The sounding about the possible consultors will be submitted.
