PREFECT: Fr. Perpetus Igwe, CMF
“We aim to attain conformity to Christ by professing religious vows in a missionary community. We also pursue this conformity by the practice of other virtues and express it according to our gift in the Church.” (CC, 39)
The Prefecture of Spirituality accompanies the members in the living out of our common call to the imitation of Christ Jesus in the style of St. Anthony Mary Claret.
Through community animation the prefecture accompanies the members, in the attainment of authentic vocational satisfaction.
The place of personal and community prayer, faithfulness to the sacraments and the living of the gospel values (prophetic witnessing) remain central to the consecrated life. Frequent reception of the Holy Eucharist (cf. CC 12), Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (Lectio Divina - MFL 54.1), and the sacrament of Reconciliation are key dimensions of our life.
Deeply committed to the Heart of Mary, we organize and promote devotion to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Mother and Formatrix. Apart from the yearly IHM novena and celebrations we also have monthly renewal of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which includes, sharing of the Word, Sacrament of Reconciliation (and counselling where there is need) culminating in the Eucharistic celebration.
